RSRG/LAMMA Coordinating Team
Ferreira e Silva is a postdoctoral researcher at RSRG/LAMMA – Laboratory of Agricultural Machinery and Mechanization at FCAV/Unesp, where he works on projects focused on digital agriculture and precision agriculture with an emphasis on data science, artificial intelligence, spatial variability of soil and crop attributes, multi- and hyperspectral sensors, and agricultural mechanization. He holds a degree in Agronomy from the Federal University of Piauí, a master's degree in agronomy (soil science), and a doctorate in Agronomy (Agricultural Production) from the São Paulo State University (Unesp), and a postdoctoral period at the University of São Paulo - Ribeirão Preto campus.
His academic career is marked by applied research in estimating and mapping soil and plant attributes using multi- and hyperspectral sensors, as well as near-Earth and orbital sensors. At RSRG, Dr. João de Deus contributes to studies on spatial variability, quality of mechanized operations, and productivity forecasting, with a special focus on underground crops such as peanuts, sugarcane, soybeans, and corn.
Through scientific publications and active participation in technical and academic events, Dr. João de Deus strengthens the integration of science, technology, and innovation to develop new solutions for sustainable agribusiness.
